black republic (4/19). In Cuba: The Next Revolution, learn how culture, religion, politics,<br />

On the 150th anniversary of the beginning of America’s Civil<br />
War, a special encore broadcast of The Civil War by Ken Burns<br />
celebrates generals and ordinary soldiers, a heroic transcendent<br />
president, and a country that had to divide itself in two in order<br />
to become one. This epic documentary brings to life America’s<br />
most destructive and defining conflict.<br />

The saga continues at 165 Eaton Place with new characters<br />
upstairs and down in a three-part sequel to the Masterpiece<br />
series, starring: Jean Marsh, Dame Eileen Atkins, Keeley<br />
Hawes, and Ed Stoppard. Set in 1936, the lives of masters and servants have never been so<br />

The Bible’s Buried Secrets investigates the origins of the<br />
ancient Israelites, evolution of their belief in one God and the<br />
creation of the Bible (4/13). Power Surge (pictured) showcases<br />
the latest and greatest innovations from artificial trees to<br />
cleaner coal, nuclear energy, and ideas to re-engineer the<br />
climate system (4/20). Mount Saint Helens Back From the Dead looks at the return of<br />
plant and animal life to the barren landscape of Mount Saint Helens after the eruption in<br />
1980. But there’s a new threat: the mountain, too, is coming back to life (4/27).<br />
