probing mind in Miss Marple, Series VI: The Pale Horse. Miss 

Marple’s old friend is found murdered and she seeks justice 

(7/10). What does an honest cop do when his bosses are on the side of the lawbreakers? 

Outwitting the bad guys, Detective Aurelio Zen (pictured) brings justice to modern-day 

Italy in Zen: Vendetta (7/17). Was a disgraced aristocrat pushed off a bridge? The Ministry 

of Justice wants a ruling of suicide, while a prosecutor hints that Zen should look for 

the murderer in Zen: Cabal (7/24). A wealthy industrialist and political party funder is

Farmers in Hawaii are educating people about agriculture and

rural waterways, and take a look at how farmers on the Big 

Island of Hawaii are growing Kona coffee beans (7/13). It’s just 

dirt, but new research in California and Pennsylvania is critical 

to protecting America’s farmland. And, Vermont farmers are cashing in on rural resorts 

(7/20). Jason Shoultz shows you an unusual connection between beets (pictured) and pizza

An Evening with Huell Howser

home the prize at the Trinity County Fair (7/7). The rides are 

not the only thing spinning at the Monterey County Fair for the

River from Hoover Dam to Southern California and learn about 

the people who depend on its water (7/21). See water pouring 

over massive granite ledges, historic toll crossings, and bridges that tell a story of day-to-day 

life during the Gold Rush era (7/28).

Studio Sacramento is a new weekly series produced at KVIE 

that asks questions, invites opinions, and seeks answers for the 

topics and issues that matter to you right here in the region we 

all love and call home. Hosted by community leader Scott Syphax 

(pictured), the series will provide insight and depth of conversation 

that only your public television station can offer. Underwritten by
