Members and their guests enjoyed their annual pot luck luncheon<br />

at the <strong>Korean</strong> <strong>War</strong> Memorial in the Carson City <strong>Korean</strong> <strong>War</strong><br />

<strong>Veterans</strong> Memorial Park in September. Members of the Reno<br />

<strong>Korean</strong> Presbyterian Church joined them. Everyone had a great<br />

time.<br />

Chapter member Richard Tieben owns an old mint-condition<br />

military jeep. He drove the vehicle in the Capital City’s Nevada<br />

Day Parade, which celebrated the anniversary of statehood in<br />

1864. <strong>The</strong> entry took third place in its category.<br />

Membership is growing<br />

<strong>The</strong> photo below of our Chapter members reflects over twothirds<br />

of the membership at that time. We are getting approximately<br />

two new member’s average per month. <strong>Our</strong> recruiting<br />

started in September, 2006 and we are approaching 40 members.<br />
