Korea Service <strong>Veterans</strong> Memorial Highway<br />
motorist a clear view of the signs, providing<br />
a tribute to all veterans of the war in<br />
Korea 1950-1953 and the post <strong>War</strong><br />
Defense Service veterans who have<br />
served in Korea since 1953. Over 2 million<br />
American troops in the past 54 years,<br />
and approximately 37,000 who remain<br />
today in Korea, along with thousands of<br />
Republic of Korea military, preserve the<br />
peace daily and the life style of free people<br />
of the Republic of Korea..<br />
Across America<br />
the Republic of<br />
Korea and in countries<br />
that served in<br />
the <strong>Korean</strong> <strong>War</strong> under the United Nations<br />
Command have highways designated to<br />
<strong>Veterans</strong> of Korea, monuments, museums,<br />
highways, and Memorials, to honor<br />
<strong>Veterans</strong> of the <strong>Korean</strong> <strong>War</strong> to include<br />
<strong>Veterans</strong> of the Republic of Korea. <strong>The</strong>y<br />
are tributes to those who served and<br />
fought for a cause that was just and honorable.<br />
We honor the sacrifices of our patriots<br />
and we remember and honor our comrades<br />
who made the supreme sacrifice and<br />
we remember our POWs and MIAs who<br />
are known only to God for they have<br />
never returned.<br />
<strong>The</strong> Maryland Chapter #33 <strong>Korean</strong><br />
<strong>War</strong> <strong>Veterans</strong> Association officers, our<br />
members, and <strong>Korean</strong> <strong>War</strong> veterans of<br />
Maryland, are indeed grateful to so many<br />
persons and agencies for their contributions<br />
and their generosity. <strong>The</strong>y made<br />
these monuments (signs) possible on a<br />
highway that links an area that provides<br />
service and unending growth to new and<br />
expanding areas for Marylanders and<br />
those across America who visit our state.<br />
