CID 270 Recognizes Volunteers for Fiscal Year Ending<br />

September 30, 2012<br />

We handed out awards to volunteers for fiscal year ending<br />

September 30, 2012 at our <strong>Mar</strong>ch 9 meeting.<br />

Bob Hooker and Stan Grogan accepted donations from the<br />

Chapter Names and Awards Members with over 100 Volunteer<br />

Hours<br />

Twenty-seven members were named and honored for logging<br />

5,142 volunteer hours at the Dallas VA Hospital. As one of the<br />

main attractions during the <strong>Mar</strong>ch 9 chapter meeting, these volunteers<br />

received plaques and applause from fellow chapter members.<br />

Leading by example, Chapter President J. D. Randolph topped<br />

all chapter volunteers by logging 575 volunteer hours at the<br />

Dallas VA Hospital in fiscal year 2012. Bob (“Ski”)<br />

Wojciechowski followed in second place with 375 volunteer<br />

hours. Carolyn Bolds took third place with 302 volunteer hours.<br />

Volunteers with between 200 and 299 Hours<br />

Three members, Tilford Jones, Morris Chambers, and Joe<br />

Seiling, logged over 200 but fewer than 300 hours. Tilford Jones<br />

logged 288 hours, Morris Chambers logged 254 hours, and Joe<br />

Seiling logged 203 hours.<br />

Volunteers with 100 to 199 Hours<br />

Seven chapter members and one spouse logged between 100-<br />

199 hours at the Dallas VA Hospital: Ken Borchers (197), Jimmie<br />

McGee (195), George Kraus (194), James Cawyer (172), Bill<br />

Carman (168), Grace Borchers, Ken Borchers’ spouse, (158), and<br />

Paul Pfrommer (114).<br />

Volunteers with Fewer than 100 Hours<br />

Thirteen members logged fewer than 100 hours at the Dallas<br />

VA Hospital in 2010: Homer Mundy (95), Jim McCrary (80),<br />

Dick Lethe (59), Ernie Bousquet (57), Bill Lovas (48), Ed<br />

Wuermser (36), Pat Jetton (33), Angela Sasser (33), Bobby<br />

Medford (30), Richard Sanchez (13), Freeman Dunlap (12),<br />

Doyle Dykes (8), and Billy Joe Denton (6).<br />
