Members got together in Springfield,<br />
IL, where they visited the <strong>Korean</strong><br />
Memorial, attended their annual dinner,<br />
and honored their deceased president,<br />
George R. Brkovich. George, a resident of<br />
McKeesport, PA, was elected to the office<br />
at our October 2011 reunion. He passed<br />
away on January 1, 2012.<br />
Vice President Earl F. Breese took over<br />
George’s duties and was then elected to<br />
the presidency for the <strong>2013</strong> term.<br />
The association comprises WWII and<br />
<strong>Korean</strong> <strong>War</strong> veterans who served in the 1st<br />
Field Artillery Observation Battalion.<br />
