EAMONN MALONEY TD<br />

Eamonn was first elected to South Dublin County Council in 1999.<br />

He served twice as Mayor of the County and has a proven track<br />

record as a campaigner against over development and for better<br />

housing.Prior to becoming unemployed in 2009 Eamonn was<br />

involved in the recycling business for over 20 years having<br />

established Ireland’s first recycling plant.He was elected to the<br />

Dail in 2011 and has campaigned for Dail reform and for the<br />

abolition of the Seanad.Eamonn has a passionate interest in the<br />

heritage of Tallaght and is a regular contributor to the Tallaght<br />

Echo on Tallaght History. He is the author of "Tallaght A Place with<br />

History". Eamonn is a member of An Taisce and is also on the<br />

board of the Civic <strong>The</strong>atre in Tallaght.<br />

PAT RABBITTE TD<br />

First elected to Dail Eireann in 1989 Pat has frequently been<br />

named as Parliamentarian of the Year having a proven track record<br />

as an effective TD, spokesperson and Minister.Pat has served as a<br />

Minister of State (for Commerce, Science and Technology from<br />

1994-1997) and, from 2002-2007, as Leader of the <strong>Labour</strong> <strong>Party</strong>.<br />

In 2011 he was appointed Minister for Energy, Communications &<br />

Natural Resources. In addition to playing a positive role in securing<br />

jobs and infrastructure for his constituency Pat established the<br />

Local Drugs Task Forces in 1996 to address the scourge of drugs on<br />

a community basis. He also played a leading role in the DIRT<br />

Inquiry which recovered approximately €1Billion of unpaid taxes<br />

from the banks.<br />

CLLR PADDY COSGRAVE<br />

Paddy and his family have lived in Rathfarnham for over 20 years.<br />

Paddy was co-opted onto South Dublin County Council in 2007. Paddy<br />

is a hard-working local representative campaigning on transport and<br />

planning issues. Paddy believes that the role of a councillor is to<br />

defend the community interest and not just what officialdom believes<br />

the community needs.<br />
