Personal Fitness <strong>Training</strong> Certification: AAAI/ISMA<br />
Learn cardiovascular fitness, weight training and nutrition, principles of strength training, aerobics and fitness testing. Prevent and<br />
identify injuries as well as design individualized fitness programs for clients, including free weights, resistance training and<br />
cardiovascular conditioning. This "all in one" workshop includes highly suggested readings before the class (call (609) 397-2139 for<br />
book purchase information) and concludes with the AAA/ISMA test for personal fitness trainer certification, which is good for two<br />

Food Service/Dietary Managers<br />
Are you interested in upgrading your skills in food service management?<br />
Would you like to become a Food Service Supervisor?<br />
Certified Dietary Managers are nationally recognized experts at managing dietary<br />
operations. <strong>The</strong> <strong>LaGuardia</strong> ACE Dietary Managers Program provides training for people<br />
already working in a healthcare foodservice facility to continue up the career ladder.<br />
To qualify for the Dietary Managers Evening Program, you must: 1. Have a high school<br />
diploma or equivalency certificate 2. Be currently working in a food service department<br />
3. Have a registered dietitian who will act as your preceptor. <strong>The</strong> program is presented in<br />
three modules: fall, winter and spring. Each module runs for 10 weeks and includes 40<br />
hours of lecture plus 50 hours of supervised fieldwork at the work site. Upon successful<br />
completion of the program, you are eligible to sit for the certification examinatio<br />

Become a Credentialed Alcohol and Substance Abuse Counselor (CASAC) and help<br />
make a difference in people’s lives. Offered in partnership with <strong>Community</strong> Partnership<br />
Referrals and Resources (CPRR), this program fulfills the New York State Office of<br />
Alcoholism & Substance Abuse Services (OASAS) addiction counselor certificate<br />
requirements for 350 hours of specific topics for credentialing or re credentialing. Upon<br />
successful completion of both courses, you will earn a certificate for eligibility to apply<br />
for OASAS’ CASACS Trainee (CASAC T) program. ND<br />
