in Houston, Texas<br />

Offshore Technology<br />

Conference is the world’s<br />

foremost event for the<br />

development of offshore<br />

resources in the fields of drilling,<br />

exploration, production, and<br />

environmental protection. OTC<br />

is held annually at Reliant<br />

Center in Houston. This year’s<br />

edition was from May 4-7<br />

2009.<strong>Oando</strong> <strong>PLC</strong> as a key<br />

player in the oil and gas industry<br />

graced the occasion with it’s<br />

presence, exhibiting its product<br />

and services in a double<br />

decked stand which was<br />

situated at the Petan Nigeria<br />

section. This year’s technical<br />

program offered special<br />

sessions on significant industry<br />

topics, such as the future of<br />

petroleum, the potential of gas<br />

hydrates as a future energy<br />

source, and the challenges<br />

facing the industry in meeting<br />

increasing demand for energy,<br />

The beautifully branded stand<br />

was a beehive of activities as it<br />

attracted top executives from<br />

other sectors<br />

We rounded off the conference<br />

on an excellent note, with a<br />

business cocktail party hosted<br />

by the Group Chief Executive, Mr.<br />

Wale Tinubu to engage foremost<br />

upstream companies, prospective<br />

financiers and governmental<br />

regulatory bodies on upstream<br />

matters and to acquaint them with<br />

<strong>Oando</strong>’s huge investments in the<br />

upstream arm of its business and<br />

our full fledged support for the drive<br />

for the Nigerian Content Initiative.<br />

Houstonian Hotel, in Houston,<br />

Texas.<br />
