要 在 維 持 亞 洲 生 物 多 樣 性 及 在 人 口 持 續 膨 脹 之 間 取 得 平 衡 , 我 們 必 須 儘 早 將 保 育 意 識 傳 播 給 最 多 的 人 。
年 青 一 代 在 這 個 過 程 中 擔 當 著 重 要 的 角 色 , 他 們 不 僅 成 為 社 會 的 未 來 領 袖 , 在 今 天 社 會 的 影 響 力 亦 不 容
忽 視 。 隨 著 社 交 媒 體 的 急 速 興 起 , 年 青 人 經 常 將 新 聞 及 資 訊 發 送 予 朋 友 及 家 人 , 無 遠 弗 屆 , 我 們 要 讓
年 輕 一 代 了 解 保 育 野 生 生 態 的 重 要 性 , 進 而 成 為 保 育 大 使 。 在 2011 至 2012 年 度 , 我 們 推 行 了 一 連 串 計
劃 , 激 發 青 少 年 的 保 育 熱 情 , 其 中 包 括 首 次 開 展 的 保 育 教 育 贊 助 計 劃 。
Balancing the needs of Asia’s biodiversity with human populations’ goals and ambitions requires
spreading conservation awareness to as many people as possible, and as quickly as possible. Young
people play a critical role in this process. They are not only the community leaders and decision-makers
of tomorrow, they also wield great influence. Thanks to the rapid rise of social media, today’s youth
routinely spread news and information to friends, family and far beyond. By helping them understand
the importance of wildlife conservation, these young people become valuable ambassadors. In 2011/12,
we undertook a variety of programmes to ignite a passion for conservation in children of all ages,
including our new groundbreaking Conservation Education Sponsorship Programme.
