Quick Reference
BASIC FARE QUOTE
Redesigned Fare Display entries in the new Sabre ® Air suite utilize a single action code - FQ. Action codes FA, FS, FD and FL have
been eliminated. However, the functionality that they provided is retained through enhanced validation logic and default carrier logic, as
well as the availability of new qualifiers. In the absence of outbound travel and/or ticketing dates, the system defaults to the current
date.

DATE VALIDATION FOR FARE QUOTE
All fare display entries validate for travel effective and travel discontinue dates, and this cannot be overridden. Other fare display
validations occur for seasons, advance purchase, blackout dates and minimum/maximum stay (validated only when a return date is
entered). Qualifiers are available to turn these validations on or off. The enhanced system default logic is to apply all validations
unless otherwise instructed.

FARE INCLUSION CODES
Fare inclusion codes, formerly known as fare type codes, identify specific categories or groups of fares to be included in a fare display.
Although most of these codes remain unchanged, some are new or different, while others have been discontinued altogether. When
not specified in a fare request, the system default fare inclusion code is still NLX, normal and excursion fares for an adult passenger.

CHILD AND INFANT FARE REQUESTS
When requesting fares for other than adult passengers only, enter a comma, followed by applicable codes for adult, child and/or infant.
Adult = A Child = C Infant = I
Combine any number of these codes in any order: ,A ,C ,I ,AC ,CA ,AI ,IA ,CI ,IC ,ACI ,AIC ,CAI ,CIA ,ICA ,IAC
To request specific categories or groups of fares, enter the adult inclusion code, followed by a comma and the applicable codes for
adult, child and/or infant: EX,ACI CB,AC NLX,IA PM,C NLX,I (cannot be combined with “ALL” inclusion code)
Enter the adult/child/infant qualifiers in a fare quote entry as follows:
• Anywhere after the destination city
• If a global indicator is included, anywhere after the global
• If a departure date is included, anywhere after the date

fares are viewable in Redesigned Fare Displays, they do not auto-price.

FlightFinder SM remains accessible to facilitate searches for available and applicable flight schedules from a fare quote display.
However, entries that reference multiple fare basis codes are not supported in the new Sabre Air suite.
