A musical schedule hot out of the oven and a well-cooked up culinary selection …
The Francos Gourmandes are back with their second edition in Tournus (Southern Burgundy)
from 7 to 9 June 2013!
As an aperitif and already on the bill, SAÏ,
Charlie and The Soap Opéra, Danakil, Keny
Arkana, Broussaï, Wax Tailor,
Orelsan, Radio Kaizman, Fills Monkey,
Saule, Jacques Higelin, Tryo,
Oldelaf, L'Ultra Bal, LittleMax, Matthieu
Boogaerts, Sanseverino, Tété and Zaz (with
one of just two dates in France this
summer) will set light to the two stages at
the Francos Gourmandes!
And to complement this aperitif, how about
some amuse-bouches : A blend of artists
from here, there and everywhere for a
musical journey combining tastes and
colours. Set off immediately for
Jamaica with the exceptional presence of
the international reggae star so recognised
for his legendary hits Reggae Night and I
can see clearly now, Jimmy Cliff, and a
stopover in France with the
iconic Merlot and the winners of the Adami
Deezer Talent 2013,Deluxe! And then set
sail for Burgundy with the Dijon
band Iltika, Final Squeak from Macon, the
Tunisian rock group Commissaire Juve,
and the rising star from French
chanson Petit Crucq, and the cabaret rock
artist Owl Collision as well as the blues
band Hat Man Session.
And as the pièce de resistance, a culinary
showcase rich in diversity and in luxury with
several types of dining for every budget
and Christophe Michalak who will do the
honour of being the official sponsor of this
second editions of the Francos
Gourmandes.
Christophe Michalak is all about...
A lover of cakes and high octane fun, and
chief pastry maker at Plaza Athénée and
world pastry making champion in 2005, he
is well known and renowned for making
each pasty sexy and tasty. Happiness in
little bites! Let it be said that Christophe
Michalak does not follow trends, but
creates them!
Easting out at the Francos Gourmandes is
all about…
L’Allée des chefs, the only restaurant in the
world to offer 9 dishes simultaneously
created by 9 famous chefs at one festival.
Hot or cold savoury meals, desserts … Let
your taste buds explode by making your
own menu! The people responsible for this
unique cuisine, is a luxury casting bringing
together the wonder of the youthful « New
Cuisine » from Burgundy and further
afield: Jean-Michel Carrette, Robert
Jacquet, Gilles Choukroun, Guillaume
Monjuré, Christophe Hubert, Gilles Fraïoli,
Simone Tondo and Mickael Greenwold….

And combined with the exceptional
presence of Christophe Michalak who
adventures into the savoury world with a
dish from Orecchiette in homage to his
Italian roots.
9 chefs / 9 dishes with a single rate of €13
available all day.
La Halle en Folies, the genuine culinary
centre of the festival, will this year play host
to some 80 producers from Burgundy to
enjoy, over three days, all day long, the
excellence of Burgundy local food: Bresse
poultry, Charolais beef, snails, AOC
cheeses, meats, sorbets, pastries, honey,
gingerbread, chocolate, and last but by no
means least wines from Burgundy.
Mobile cuisine, a unique culinary offer
designed by our sponsor Christophe
Michalak and available all day. Intended for
those who do not want to miss any of the
concerts, this is easy to carry around, can
be eaten whilst walking and standing, or
seated (or even when lying down !), and is
on offer at the stands on the site and is
made using ingredients from partner
producers in the region. Coming in the next
few weeks…
Les Démos Flash, a creative area which
combines regional excellence with the
talent and creativity of local chefs. A simple
principle: Chefs will busy themselves
making original snacks and food in just 10
minutes, sometimes even assisted by the
artists. Snacks which food lover scan eat in
the crowd for the exceptional price of €5.

Les Francos Gourmandes, the essential
food festival of the summer. On 7, 8 and 9

having been awarded a Michelin star for
just 6000 residents!
