Stage 1 (Preliminary)
Students may undertake a course of study in one of three

The thesis component of this course is entirely research-based

Doctor of Philosophy
Duration: 3 years

This doctoral course in the field of Sports Science requires the
submission of a research proposal, the conduct of research, the
writing of a thesis, and participation in seminars and conferences.
Admission Requirements:
Relevant Master degree with a substantial research component
or Honours degree (First Class, Second Class, Division A).
CourSe StruCture
Each semester students are required to continue re-enrolling in
the thesis component of their study until the thesis is submitted
for examination.
Doctoral candidates will normally complete no less than two
years and no more than four years of full-time equivalent study
by the time their thesis is submitted for examination.
