Stacy Keck<br />

Stacy Keck used to make friendship<br />

bracelets, play with snails and travel<br />

to faraway lands. She still does,<br />

but now with a camera in hand.<br />

Born and raised in Sacramento,<br />

Keck made <strong>San</strong> <strong>Diego</strong> home 11<br />

years ago when she came to study<br />

public relations at <strong>San</strong> <strong>Diego</strong> State<br />

University. The PR girl in her still<br />

loves hyping her favorite bands,<br />

artists and restaurants, but now she<br />

often preferes photographing her<br />

food rather to eating it.<br />

This self-taught, full-time photographer keeps busy “capturing<br />

awesome” around town. She regularly covers events for the Museum<br />

of Photographic Arts, as well as live music performances, nightlife and<br />

Scannell<br />

Christy Scannell launched her<br />

writing and editing company, Celtic<br />

Media, several years ago. Though<br />

her background is in non-fiction and<br />

journalism, she was surprised and<br />

delighted in 2006 when Simon and<br />

Schuster published her three-novel<br />

series, Secrets from Lulu’s Café.<br />

Scannell and her husband, Rich,<br />

bought their 1937 Spanish fixer-upper in North Park eight years ago and have<br />

been on a remodeling kick ever since. Although she contributed this issue’s<br />

piece on man caves (Page 44) and shares Rich’s appreciation for sports, beer<br />

and off-color jokes, the two have yet to build their own “manctuary.”<br />

Dave Good<br />

Born in Texas and raised in Southern<br />

California, Dave Good is a former radio<br />

personality and TV host.<br />

These days, he’s a freelance journalist<br />

who’s written about everything from the<br />

cloning of pet dogs to nude scuba diving<br />

with an iPod. His stories about pop<br />

music and culture at large have appeared<br />

in Orange County Weekly, the <strong>San</strong> <strong>Diego</strong><br />

Reader, Los Angeles Journal, Goldmine<br />

and online at signonsandiego.com and<br />

nbcsandiego.com.<br />

Good occasionally blogs about life and music at foggerdogger.com. He<br />

lusts after guitars but cannot actually play one.
