A <strong>new</strong> <strong>beginning</strong> <strong>for</strong> <strong>DPD</strong> <strong>Croatia</strong> <strong>–</strong><br />
<strong>joining</strong> <strong>the</strong> <strong>DPD</strong> <strong>family</strong><br />

On <strong>the</strong> 6th of May 2008 in Paris, GeoPost acquired from Lagermax <strong>the</strong> remaining<br />
shares that was held in <strong>DPD</strong> Slovenia and <strong>DPD</strong> <strong>Croatia</strong>. GeoPost previously<br />
owned 70% of shares in <strong>DPD</strong> Slovenia and 30% in <strong>Croatia</strong>. .<br />
Joining <strong>the</strong> <strong>DPD</strong> <strong>family</strong> is a <strong>new</strong> stage in <strong>the</strong> development of <strong>DPD</strong> <strong>Croatia</strong>. <strong>DPD</strong> is<br />
one of <strong>the</strong> most prestigious parcel companies in <strong>the</strong> world, which has <strong>the</strong> best-<br />
developed road parcel shipping network in Europe. With hubs in Maribor, Zagreb,<br />
Belgrade and Sarajevo and twelve depots across <strong>the</strong> region, <strong>DPD</strong> <strong>Croatia</strong> is in an<br />
excellent position to fulfill customers’ needs.<br />
<strong>DPD</strong>’s first-class products have been launched in <strong>the</strong> Adriatic region by <strong>DPD</strong><br />
<strong>Croatia</strong>, and a considerable increase of sales and market share is expected as a<br />
result. GeoPost’s CEO, Central and South Eastern Europe - Marek Rozycki stated<br />
“<strong>the</strong> <strong>DPD</strong> product portfolio is vast due to <strong>DPD</strong> having over 40 years’ experience<br />
in parcel shipping.”<br />
With <strong>the</strong> shipment of around 2 million parcels a day in a seamless international<br />
network, <strong>DPD</strong> is one of Europe’s leading providers of parcel services. The product<br />
portfolio ranges from standard, time guaranteed and express parcels to<br />
supplementary services like Cash On Delivery, and also includes individual<br />
customer solutions. In more than 500 depots in 38 countries a <strong>for</strong>ce of over<br />
22,000 employees and 15,000 vehicles operates on behalf of 200,000 customers.<br />
