A new beginning for DPD Croatia –
joining the DPD family
Zagreb – 27th November 2008.
On the 6th of May 2008 in Paris, GeoPost acquired from Lagermax the remaining
shares that was held in DPD Slovenia and DPD Croatia. GeoPost previously
owned 70% of shares in DPD Slovenia and 30% in Croatia. .
Joining the DPD family is a new stage in the development of DPD Croatia. DPD is
one of the most prestigious parcel companies in the world, which has the best-
developed road parcel shipping network in Europe. With hubs in Maribor, Zagreb,
Belgrade and Sarajevo and twelve depots across the region, DPD Croatia is in an
excellent position to fulfill customers’ needs.
DPD’s first-class products have been launched in the Adriatic region by DPD
Croatia, and a considerable increase of sales and market share is expected as a
result. GeoPost’s CEO, Central and South Eastern Europe - Marek Rozycki stated
“the DPD product portfolio is vast due to DPD having over 40 years’ experience
in parcel shipping.”
With the shipment of around 2 million parcels a day in a seamless international
network, DPD is one of Europe’s leading providers of parcel services. The product
portfolio ranges from standard, time guaranteed and express parcels to
supplementary services like Cash On Delivery, and also includes individual
customer solutions. In more than 500 depots in 38 countries a force of over
22,000 employees and 15,000 vehicles operates on behalf of 200,000 customers.
