VI-5 parents confirm their children’s attendance at SRA ESE/ESOL/504 student test modifications. ONGOING REGISTRATION ONGOING The data processors at each sending schools needs to indicate on the A04 screen the student’s summer school site (4 digit #). TRANSPORTATION (Specialized or General) WAREHOUSE REQUISITIONS May 24 May 24 Transportation Coordinators provide bus assignments to home schools and summer school sites for all students whose names were entered on the A04 screen. Transportation will send a copy of the bus routes to ESY site administrators and ESE Area Coordinators. Sending school principals distribute information to parents. Summer bus route changes will be forwarded to schools and posted to http://transintranet/FindMyBusStop.aspx. Schools will be notified as route changes daily if any adjustments are required. The current ESE route sheets will be utilized to register Special Needs Students. ESE route sheets should be reconciled for all students attending summer school. Schools should utilize the Transportation Request for Special Needs Students (PBSD1848) to register new special needs students School site bus loops will be utilized as pickup sites SITE ADMINISTRATORS: Last day for warehouse requisitions for the 2013 SRA. Please indicate “Reading Academy” on all requisitions. These requisitions will be processed against the 2013 budget (instructional and custodial supplies). STAFFING May 28 SITE ADMINISTRATORS: Deadline for submitting emails to Recruitment and Retention. Emails must include the following information for the employees hired for SRA: 1. Employee name 2. Employee ID # 3. Applicant ID # 4. Job opening # 5. Job title 6. Position # Emails are to be submitted on Tuesdays and Thursdays ONLY and MUST INCLUDE “SR” in the Subject Line. VI-6 STUDENT INFORMATION June 10 PRINCIPALS: Principals of feeder elementary/charter schools should deliver two copies of the completed Third Grade Summer Reading Academy Student Registration Card (PBSD 2099) to the appropriate SRA site, retaining a copy for the home school. Also, sign and deliver the district’s Third Grade Summer Reading Academy (SRA) Student Folder (PBSD 2131) for all SRA students to the SRA sites. REPORTING June 17-21 FTE Survey Reporting Week. SS/ESY Administrator finalizes enrollment and staffing in TERMS. Submit changes to field tech. PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT June 10,11,12, 13 and 17 June 18 AND June 19 DISTRICT READING COACHES: Report for mandatory professional development LOCATION TO BE ANNOUNCED/8:30 am – 3:30 pm District Reading Coaches will be compensated for 30 hours (excludes one hour lunch each day) at the current mandatory rate. SRA TEACHERS, TEACHERS-ON-CALL AND DISTRICT READING COACHES: Report for mandatory professional development. REPORT TO INDIVIDUAL SRA SITES 8:30 am - 3:30 pm All participants will be compensated for twelve hours (excludes one hour lunch first day) at the current mandatory PD rate. SITE ADMINISTRATORS: Site administrators should plan to be present during the teacher professional development. SRA WORKDAY June 20 SRA TEACHERS AND DISTRICT READING COACHES: SRA teachers and reading coaches report to SRA sites for teacher workday. SRA BEGINS June 24 SRA STAFF: SRA begins for students. ENROLLMENT June 27 SITE ADMINISTRATORS: SRA Site Administrators submit actual enrollment figures to the appropriate Area Superintendent/Area contact person. Note: A separate Staffing & Enrollment Survey must be sent to Budget on an Excel spreadsheet. HOLIDAY July 4 HOLIDAY – SCHOOLS CLOSED SAT-10 No later than July 11 SITE ADMINISTRATORS: Email Cherie Boone (Cherie.boone@palmbeachschools.org, Department of Assessment, the number of SAT-10 tests needed. FTE July 8-12 SITE ADMINISTRATORS: FTE Survey reporting week. SAT-10 July 24 and July 25 SITE ADMINISTRATORS: SAT-10 administered to SRA students on July 25. Make-up tests may be administered on July 25. (Be sure to enter students’ home school number on the test answer sheets and make any necessary accommodations for ESE, ELL, and/or 504 students.) SITE ADMINISTRATORS: Hand-deliver SAT-10 tests and answer sheets to Test Distribution Center by 4:00 pm on July 25, 2013.
