of 12 volt, 38 AHr, NEW
sealed 27 pound lead-acid
(gel cell) batteries which
the club can use in quite a
few emergency areas.
Contact W9FQN if you have a
need to borrow one or more
of the club's emergency
batteries for same public
service event. We will keep
them on charge using a solar
panel.
These batteries came
at a good time since we were
just about ready to purchase
special batteries for the
autopatches. They will
probably be used as follows:

on the Palamar Amateur Radio

for same reason or another
have been missing fran the
Palamar logo for quite same
time. Bet that only a few
club members know the
meaning of the five stars!

post on any bulletin board
that Is open. If anyone
would like to distribute
sane of the new folders to
"hot spots", please contact

If your new rig can
do "touch-tone" signaling
(TT encoded squelch), you
need to remember that you
must identify those 3-5
digit calling tones each
time you transmit them so
that we and the FCC know who
is making the call. We know
your SECRET code but we do
not know to whom it belongs
•••yet. Please identify so
that others will recognize
that it is the proper thing
to do.
The 146.730 repeater
was shut down on three
occasions the 1st week in
December by control operator(s).
One was accidental
and the other two because of
repeater content. PARC has
no responsibility to allow
the repeaters to repeat that
which violates club policies
although at times we do
allow things to continue on
