of the club's emergency<br />

batteries for same public<br />

service event. We will keep<br />

them on charge using a solar<br />

panel.<br />

These batteries came<br />

at a good time since we were<br />

just about ready to purchase<br />

special batteries for the<br />

autopatches. They will<br />

probably be used as follows:<br />

for same reason or another<br />

have been missing fran the<br />

Palamar logo for quite same<br />

time. Bet that only a few<br />

club members know the<br />

meaning of the five stars!<br />

do "touch-tone" signaling<br />

(TT encoded squelch), you<br />

need to remember that you<br />

must identify those 3-5<br />

digit calling tones each<br />

time you transmit them so<br />

that we and the FCC know who<br />

is making the call. We know<br />

your SECRET code but we do<br />

not know to whom it belongs<br />

•••yet. Please identify so<br />

that others will recognize<br />

that it is the proper thing<br />

to do.<br />

The 146.730 repeater<br />

was shut down on three<br />

occasions the 1st week in<br />

December by control operator(s).<br />

One was accidental<br />

and the other two because of<br />

repeater content. PARC has<br />

no responsibility to allow<br />

the repeaters to repeat that<br />

which violates club policies<br />

although at times we do<br />

allow things to continue on<br />
