Artiste ® Nano-Hybrid Flowable Composite
Artiste flowable composite is the newest addition to the family of high performance
composites from Pentron Clinical Technologies, LLC. With a long history of bringing restorative
composites to the dental industry, Pentron Clinical has once again raised the bar of composite
performance by utilizing the latest developments in nanotechnology. Formulated with an ideal
resin matrix and nano particles* originally developed by the US Air Force Research Laboratory,
Artiste flowable composite provides performance features that approach those of conventional
direct composites while offering exceptional beauty.

Why does nanotechnology matter?
Nano-hybrid composites offer the strength of hybrid composites and the beauty of microfills. Unlike fads
that may come and go with popular thinking at any given time, the science and benefits of nanotechnology
are rooted in hard science.
Pentron Clinical has embraced the opportunity to research nanoparticles through government grants,
cross industry collaboration and rigorous testing. [As a result of our involvement with this ever emerging
technology, Pentron Clinical has been able to employ newly developed nanoparticles in our Artiste flowable
composite providing the material with advances in durability, fit, polishability, stain resistance, wear
resistance and overall handling.]
Nano-Hybrid composite formulations are unique
because they combine a variety of particle sizes for
optimum results. The high nano-particle content
increases the total surface area of the filler content
creating a stronger and more seamless integration with
the resin matrix. Pentron Clinical’s state-of-the-art
manufacturing techniques ensure that the smaller
nano particles are evenly distributed around the larger
hybrid-sized particles. The orientation of the nano
particles around the hybrid particles is responsible for
the high polishability, high strength and reinforced
margins of restorations fabricated with our nanohybrid
composites.

Introducing Artiste Nano-Hybrid Flowable Base Liners
Artiste Base Liners offer a radiopacity of 400% of aluminum
making them the most radiopaque flowable composite on
the market. The superior radiopacity provides quick and
easy detection on radiographs eliminating the chance of misdiagnosing
the flowable for decay. Formulated to effortlessly
flow into the cut surfaces of the tooth, Artiste Base Liners
offer the ideal handling and consistency for use as a liner.
Artiste Base Liners are available in a Universal Opaque shade
for masking dark dentition and a Universal Dentin shade for
use under all other restorative materials.
