M. Murudhan was taken to the Government Rajaji Hospital in Madurai, where he died.
Volunteers of both organisations insist on conducting a post-mortem examination.

Madhu, Bhavani

On 6 November 2006, while in custody and under trial, Madhu, aged 40 from Ammapet,
died after being transferred from Bhavani Central Prison to Bhavani Government Hospital.
Police allege that he was suffering from chest pains, but Madhu’s relatives allege he died
as a result of torture from police and jail authorities.
