of meade electric. both meade electric and the
lizzadro family have supported elmhurst
memorial healthcare for many years, in many
ways – including event support, annual giving
and a capital campaign commitment. for them,
it is an investment beyond family or work; it is
an investment for generations to come.
It was 1916 when a young Italian immigrant,
Joseph Lizzadro, went to work digging trenches
for Meade Electric. You probably could not have
convinced him then that one day he would be
chairman of the board. Now, three generations
of Lizzadros maintain a tie to Meade and its
closely related businesses, and charitably support
solid organizations in need of help. Doing so is
not always easy; investing in the future takes
foresight and courage. But someone has to dig
the trenches, and in this case, Meade has always
been right there — a part of the Hospital’s past
and now an invaluable part of our future.
There are numerous ways that corporations
can contribute to the Elmhurst Memorial Hospital
Foundation including annual gifts, campaign
support, special event sponsorships and underwriting,
and in-kind donations for our live and silent auctions.
