The UCICAC Jordi Gol is one of the 40 Central Units for Clinical Research into Clinical Trials which make up CAIBER.
These units are distributed in centres with first-rate research in 16 Autonomous Communities and are
coordinated by the CAIBER Central Unit (UCCA), located in CAIBER’s headquarters in the Institut de Salut Carlos III.
UCICAC and UCCA provide operative support for the clinical research groups of their respective centres in carrying
out co-operative clinical trials, facilitating their research work and undertaking all the tasks that the implementation
of a clinical trial requires.

1. Effectiveness of anti-inflammatroy treatment versus antibiotherapy and placebo in patients with acute
bronchitis not complicated by purulent expectoration.
2. Effectiveness and tolerance of the external application of potassium hydroxide (10% and 15%) in the
treatment of contagious molluscum.
3. Evaluation of the relationship between effervescent paracetamol and arterial pressure.
4. Effectiveness of high doses of oral penicillin versus amoxicillin in the treatment of adults with nonsevere
pneumonia attended in the community.
5. The timing effectiveness of the aspirin administration in hypertensive patients treated with low-dose
aspirin as secondary prevention.
6. Effect of supplementation with witamin D on the acute bronchitis prevention during the first year
of life.
