The Deerfield
Highland Ridge Memory Care
Addition, Williamsburg, IA
State and city approval has been received
for a 15-suite CCDI (Chronic Confusion and
Dementing Illness) wing to be added to the
Highland Ridge care center. Highland Ridge
has also received the required “certificate
of need” to go forward with the addition.
Architectural concept drawings are
complete and will soon be submitted to the
state of Iowa for final review. Construction
is anticipated to begin summer 2011. For

The Deerfield Gables,
New Richmond, WI
Plans are moving forward for the relocation
of the Gables Care Center to The Deerfield
main campus, connecting the continuum
of care and adding community space. The
new 3-story addition will link the existing
buildings with a Town Center on the main
level and house the Gables on the two
stories above. The Town Center will feature
a dining room and café, a clubroom,
wellness center, salon, and community/
chapel space for worship and events.
PHS and Westfields Hospital have
successfully dissolved the partnership
that started The Deerfield, leaving PHS
the sole owner. The City of New Richmond
has updated property lines between
the two campuses and received the full
development plan for approval. Once
granted, construction is expected to begin
in 2011 and be complete within 12 months.
