The Worship Studies program will appeal
to musicians and those who are committed
to thinking intentionally about worship
expressions and liturgical practices. The
strength of this program is its approach
to worship as a pursuit and a vocation,
but above all, a lifestyle. Discover how
theology has shaped our worship practices
in the past and how the past has shaped the
present. Study the wide variety of worship
expressions that exist in the Christian
church and gain practical skills that will
enable you to design, lead and coordinate
worship events.

The study of the Bible is at the core of
every academic program at Providence
Church Ministries
University College, but for Biblical and
Theological Studies majors there is more
– an exciting, multifaceted adventure with
the Bible, exploring its language, its history,
its message and meaning, and its role in
shaping the church, society and western
culture.
Youth Leadership
Bachelor of Theology – Youth Leadership Major (4 yrs.)
Bachelor of Arts – Youth Leadership Major (3 yrs.)
Minor in Youth Leadership (Combine with other Major)
This program will provide students with
a balanced integration of theoretical
concepts and professional skills. Prepare
to work with children, teenagers, and
their families in a church or para-church
setting. A portion of this preparation is a
three hundred hour internship or training
in preaching. The Bachelor of Theology in
Youth Leadership equips students for fulltime
leadership and ministry in a church
or para-church organization.

Gain insight into the historical roots of
Christian education ministry within the
church, understand and relate to the needs
of the church or para-church communities
and acquire the oral communication skills
needed. This program prepares students
to serve the church in entry-level and
middle-level roles in Christian education,
pastoral services, worship ministry and
other Christian ministries. The Bachelor
of Theology with a major in Church
Ministries prepares students for full-time
senior or associate pastoral leadership and
ministry in the church.
Providence helped me unlock scripture. I didn’t have much
knowledge of the Bible before I went to Providence. The
study of theology made the Bible come alive for me and
provided me an opportunity for spiritual learning and
gaining of knowledge.
