PROFILE OF THE CRDF BOARD<br />
The Board membership at present comprises:<br />
!<br />
The Chairman of <strong>Racing</strong> <strong>NSW</strong> Country, that being Mr Bob Pavitt;<br />
! Two independent persons appointed by <strong>Racing</strong> <strong>NSW</strong> Country, that being Alan Davidson AM MBE and Mr Gordon<br />
Lindley.<br />
OBJECTIVES<br />
The CRDF has a number of strategic purposes and goals including:<br />
!<br />
The preparation and implementation of effective policies conducive to strategic capital development and safety<br />
improvements.<br />
!<br />
To foster the increased growth of regional racing in <strong>NSW</strong> through the provision of improved infrastructure and facilities.<br />
!<br />
The progressive undertaking of strategic improvements such that amenities are upgraded to the point of achieving<br />
industry best practice.<br />
!<br />
Provision of effective leadership and professional management to ensure efficient project delivery.<br />
!<br />
To enhance the viability of thoroughbred racing generally and assist in maintaining <strong>NSW</strong> as the premier racing State.<br />
SUMMARY OF 2010-11 FINANCIAL YEAR<br />
Highlights of Country Racecourse Development Fund (“CRDF”) activity for the period included:<br />
! Disbursement of approximately $1 million in payments for works in progress (excl. GST).<br />
!<br />
Approximately $1.1 million approved towards new capital development initiatives (excl. GST).<br />
!<br />
Commissioning of large-scale upgrading of female jockeys amenities.<br />
!<br />
Further acquisitions under the ongoing mobile starting barriers renewal program.<br />
!<br />
Installation of triaxial cable throughout <strong>NSW</strong> to ensure that future broadcast technologies can be<br />
accommodated.<br />
!<br />
Supporting roll-out of the R<strong>NSW</strong> “Racecourse Maintenance Initiative” with Turnpoint (Contractors).<br />
!<br />
Implementation of Occupational Health & Safety Management Systems (“OHSMS”) and Environmental<br />
Management Systems (“EMS”) across country race clubs.<br />
