P&C Association
The P&C exists to promote the interests of the
school by bringing parents and carers and
teaching staff into close co‐operation. The focus
for 2012 is on a number of fundraising initiatives.
Every year, the P&C donates funds for the end of
year Presentation Day prizes as well as for school
improvements and resources. The P&C also
sponsors information evenings and provides
volunteers to help with Open Day activities,
planning days and staff selection committees.
There are many ways parents and carers can
support P&C activities.
1. Attend P&C meetings that are usually held on
the 3rd Monday of the month unless there is
a change, eg school holidays. Meetings start
at 7.30pm and are held in the school library.
Parking is available near the MPC. Meetings
are advertised in the school newsletter and
through the E-network.
2. Volunteer time to help with fundraising
events.
3. Contribute goods such as food and drinks for
BBQs and/or raffle prizes.
4. Pay the voluntary P&C contribution levy of
$40 per student. Any amount, however, is
gratefully accepted. Contributions can be sent
to the school in an envelope clearly marked
P&C Donation (cash only) or can be made by
electronic transfer to the P&C Account

Getting to 100 is pretty special so we’ve decided we’ll throw a
party for Daceyville. Daceyville was the garden suburb that
was also the first public housing estate in Australia and is now a
vibrant place to live – like our City.
Message from Mayor Ron Hoenig:
We’ve got a whole day of events to mark this important
milestone for Daceyville.
I’d like to invite all residents to join us and give Daceyville its
centenary recognition.

Join in the 100 th celebrations on Monday June 11 beginning
at 10am at Dacey Gardens, where Gardeners Rd meets
Bunnerong Rd, Daceyville.
There will be bands, entertainment, craft and food stalls,
competitions for cakes, biscuits, jams and lollies, costume
competitions, wandering entertainers, an historical walk of
Daceyville, dance groups and some great old fashioned races
– and a whole lot more.
Join us for this great day … and make a day of it.
