restituted to the heirs of Michael Berolzheimer in 2010<br />

the subject of the present drawing, stemming from the artist’s<br />

first sicilian voyage under the patronage of King ludwig i<br />

of Bavaria, depicts a bay east of Palermo with a view of Monte<br />

catalfano in the background.<br />
