What are the best ways to prolong the life of Babe
extensions?
- Use sulphate and paraben free shampoo and conditioner
- Plait extensions gently each night prior to going to sleep
- Use the Babe Boar Bristle Brush always brushing downward to
preserve the hairs natural direction
- Use Babe Dry Shampoo to extend time between washing and
blow-drying
Blending hair extensions
Once the hair extensions have been installed, they need to be
blended with the client's hair. Even if the extensions are installed
correctly they will not look natural until the hair has been blended.
The four steps of blending:
- Determine the length Identify your client's desired length and trim
the extensions accordingly
- Frame the face Trim and contour the hair around your client's face
for a balanced blended look that complements her face
- Connect the layers Comb through your client's hair and use a
razor to blend the gap between the end of the natural hair and the
end of the extensions. With a razor or thinning shears, stagger the
hair so that the disparity between the hair is not so obvious.
- Polish and detail Work on the finer details of polishing your
work. Ensure that your client's hair flows seamlessly into the hair
extensions. Make sure the ends aren't too blunt and that the ends of
the hair are even.
