Honeycomb is an online service, which takes
advantage of Web 2.0 technology to provide
learners with a personal online space. It gives
them access to a range of flexible online tools to
create and publish a range of document types,
including Web pages, wikis and blogs.
Honeycomb encourages learners’ creativity
and has been designed specifically for use in
education, making it intuitive and easy to use
for both learners and teachers alike. Learners
can either work by themselves or collaboratively,
using text, images, videos and a range of
other widgets. Once approved by the teacher,
learners can publish either to the class, school
or the world. This can help to continually
motivate learners to think about, and improve,
the standard of their presentation, as well as
encourage a community of users.
