2011 City of Roanoke Employee Service Awards Recognition

HONORING 45 YEARS
MARTHA B. CRAFT
Martha B. Craft was hired on January 18, 1965 as a
Clerk-Timekeeper in a department known then as
Refuse Collection.
She was quickly promoted from a Clerk Typist I to
Clerk Typist II in 1973; to a Clerk-Typist III in 1978;
and to Administrative Secretary in 1985; position was
reclassified to Administrative Assistant III in 2009,
where she remained until her retirement on July 1,
2010.
Ms. Craft received many accolades for her tireless
commitment to the department and superb
attendance; and enrolled in many training seminars
to increase her knowledge which made her more of
an asset to the City of Roanoke and its citizens.
