RQIA Board
RQIA has an independent board of 13 members including the Chairman, Dr Ian
Carson. Each board member is appointed by the Minister for Health, Social
Services and Public Safety for a four-year term. Board members can serve a
maximum of two terms. In December 2011, three new members were appointed to
the Board. They are: Sarah Havlin, legal member; Denis Power, financial member;
and Lindsey Smith, lay member.
