• Delivery Point Validation - DPV<br />
• Address run through CASS first to append ZIP+4 Code<br />
• Does not update or change any address elements<br />
• Currently only Primary validation is required to get a barcode discount<br />
• What does DPV do to the mail file -<br />
1. Validates the deliverability – Is the building actually physically there<br />
• Primary Validation: Street Name, house number, directional<br />
• Secondary Validation: Apartment number or Suite, FL, Bldg, etc.<br />
2. Address cannot receive automation discounts<br />
