Determining pressure loss ΔP<br />

Pressure losses for the Zehnder Nova radiator are calculated by<br />

using the following equation:<br />

The pressure loss constant, being a function of the mounting type<br />

and height and the connection code, is taken from the following table.<br />

q m = water flow rate in kg/hr<br />

C = pressure loss constant<br />

Example: model NH 70, installation length 1000 mm,<br />

same-side connection,<br />

q m = 62.0 kg/hr<br />

pressure loss constant C = 0,2993<br />

Result: ΔP = 62,00 1,9125 • 0,2993<br />

ΔP = 802 Pa<br />
