SCOPE/AUTHORITY<br />
1. Ensuring that <strong>SAE</strong>’s awards are well-defined, congruent, prestigious, foster and promote diversity and bring<br />
honor to the recipients and <strong>SAE</strong>.<br />
2. Ensuring that endowed funds are managed according to the BOARD’s <strong>policy</strong> 15 P.C.S. § 5548(c)<br />
Investment Policy Seeking Total Return.<br />
3. Monitoring awards and scholarships selection committees’ processes to ensure there are due process,<br />
consistency and integrity in the selection process.<br />
4. Leveraging and harmonizing the experience and domain knowledge <strong>of</strong> the whole <strong>SAE</strong> organization.<br />
5. Overseeing <strong>SAE</strong> award ceremonies and related events.<br />
JOB PRODUCTS<br />
1. Providing oversight for the Society’s awards and scholarships programs<br />
2. Ensuring that due process and integrity are maintained in the selections<br />
3. Monitoring and safeguarding the corpus state for awards<br />
4. For the BOARD’s approval, recommend:<br />
4.1 Establishment <strong>of</strong> new awards and scholarships<br />
4.2 Termination <strong>of</strong> awards and scholarships<br />
4.3 Slate <strong>of</strong> award nominees and scholarship recipients for all Society awards and scholarships<br />
4.4 Annual Medal <strong>of</strong> Honor Award Recipient<br />
