COMPOSITION<br />

The Membership Board can consist <strong>of</strong> up-to-twenty <strong>SAE</strong> voting members. The Membership Board’s<br />

Nominating Committee identifies candidates to serve as the Chair, Vice Chair and Members-at-Large.<br />

SCOPE/AUTHORITY<br />

The Membership Board:<br />

1. Defines the <strong>SAE</strong>’s member-value proposition.<br />

2. Develops services and programs, which encourage mobility practitioners from around the world to join<br />

<strong>SAE</strong> and retain their memberships.<br />

3. Encourages the exchange and dissemination <strong>of</strong> technical information through local activities and internet<br />

networking.<br />

4. Establishes policies regarding membership local section activities (subject to limitations established by<br />

the BOARD).<br />

JOB PRODUCTS<br />

1. Member-value proposition and strategy.<br />

2. Membership services, programs and benefits.<br />

3. Membership retention and growth.<br />

4. Evaluation <strong>of</strong> applicants' membership grades.<br />

5. Schedule <strong>of</strong> membership dues and fees consistent with the cost <strong>of</strong> operation devoted to section support<br />

and direct membership services.<br />

6. Establish and support local activities through Global Branches, Sections, Groups, Student Branches and<br />

Clubs.<br />
