DONOR SOCIETY EVENTS:
AOPA AND THE AOPA AIR SAFETY FOUNDATION
Elegant traditional décor and breathtaking scenery
formed the settings for two invitation-only donor
society events recognizing the vision and generosity
of AOPA Air Safety Foundation donors in 2006.
At Philadelphia’s Union League on May 16, AOPA
President, Phil Boyer and AOPA Air Safety Foundation
Executive Director, Bruce Landsberg hosted more than
50 Donor Society Members and guests from around the
country. The event was set in the historic French
Renaissance-style League House in downtown
Philadelphia. Tom Haas, Charter Member of the
AOPA President’s Council and Co-Chair of the AOPA
Air Safety Foundation’s Board of Visitors led the
sponsorship of the evening, with Hat in the Ring Society
and AOPA Board of Trustees members Paul Heintz and
Andy Pew.
Colorado’s majestic Front Range was the backdrop for
the September 20 Donor Society Dinner.
Bruce Landsberg welcomed members and their guests
at the aviation-themed Perfect Landing restaurant
overlooking the runways. Adam Aircraft Industries
Co-Founder and Chief Executive Officer, Rick Adam
arranged a behind-the-scenes tour of the Adam Aircraft
facilities located at Centennial Airport. Rick is a Charter
Member of the AOPA President’s Council. Silver Hat in
The Ring Society member Mark Greenberg graciously
sponsored the event.
