<strong>AOPA</strong> AIR SAFETY FOUNDATION: DONOR SOCIETIES<br />

The <strong>AOPA</strong> President’s Council<br />

$50,000 (multi-year donation)<br />

The <strong>AOPA</strong> President's Council is general aviation’s most prestigious philanthropic<br />

cadre. Membership is extended with a pledge of $50,000 or more, fully<br />

payable within five years. Council <strong>members</strong> meet annually at a private dinner<br />

with Phil Boyer <strong>and</strong> <strong>AOPA</strong> President's Council Chairman John Nordstrom.<br />

<strong>AOPA</strong>'s Top Philanthropists (ATP)<br />

$10,000 <strong>and</strong> above (annual giving)<br />

<strong>AOPA</strong>'s Top Philanthropists—affectionately known as "ATPs"—are <strong>donors</strong> who<br />

contribute $10,000 or more in a calendar year. ATP <strong>donors</strong> may designate their<br />

gift <strong>to</strong> a specific area, <strong>to</strong> help fund a new initiative, or for the general good of<br />

safety <strong>and</strong> education.<br />

<strong>AOPA</strong> Hat in the Ring Society<br />

$1,000 <strong>and</strong> above (annual giving)<br />

Named for the World War I fighter squadron led by legendary ace Capt. Eddie<br />

Rickenbacker, this Society recognizes philanthropist-pilots who "throw their hats<br />

in the ring" with financial support of $1,000 or above in a calendar year.<br />

Bronze ($2500) <strong>and</strong> Silver ($5000) <strong>members</strong>hips are also available.<br />

<strong>AOPA</strong> Life Membership Program<br />

$2,500 (one-time donation)<br />

The <strong>AOPA</strong> Life Member Program, offered exclusively by the <strong>AOPA</strong> Air Safety<br />

Foundation, is available for a one-time donation of $2,500. Eighty percent is<br />

tax-deductible. New life <strong>members</strong> receive a h<strong>and</strong>-signed framed certificate<br />

from Phil Boyer, a special <strong>members</strong>hip card <strong>and</strong> pin.<br />

The <strong>AOPA</strong> Air Safety Foundation Endowment Fund<br />

$10,000 <strong>and</strong> above (cummulative donation)<br />

Gifts <strong>to</strong> the <strong>AOPA</strong> Air Safety Foundation Endowment Fund provide perpetual<br />

income for GA safety education programs. You may establish a named-fund<br />

with cumulative endowment donations <strong>to</strong>taling $10,000. Silver, Gold, <strong>and</strong><br />

Platinum levels are achieved when <strong>to</strong>tal funds reach $50,000, $75,000, <strong>and</strong><br />

$100,000 respectively.<br />

All <strong>donors</strong>, small <strong>and</strong> large, are important <strong>and</strong> greatly appreciated. The names of all <strong>donors</strong><br />
