Lent Pilgrimage to Aylesford Priory<br />
Saturday 24 th March <strong>2012</strong><br />
It was a beautiful day and after a detoured journey we met up in the<br />
large car park at the Friars, Aylesford with several friends from <strong>St</strong>.<br />
<strong>John</strong>’s.<br />
<strong>The</strong> day was organised by Forward in<br />
Faith with Revd. Canon David Herbert,<br />
the regional Dean, giving the addresses<br />
and sermon at the three services<br />
in the lovely <strong>St</strong>. Joseph’s Chapel.<br />
<strong>The</strong> theme for the services (Morning<br />
Prayer, concelebrated noon Mass and<br />
Evensong) and for the day was <strong>The</strong><br />
Way, <strong>The</strong> Truth and <strong>The</strong> Life from<br />
<strong>John</strong> 14.<br />
Following the noon Mass and <strong>The</strong> Angelus<br />
it was time for lunch which was<br />
available from the Shrine Café but we<br />
from <strong>St</strong>. <strong>John</strong>’s met together for a<br />
picnic lunch in lovely Spring gardens<br />
which had a display <strong>of</strong> a variety <strong>of</strong><br />
