EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE<br />
RULE 230 COMPOSITION<br />
The Executive Committee shall consist of sixteen members: the Presiding Judge, who<br />
shall be the chairperson, the Assistant Presiding Judge, one Commissioner and thirteen Judges<br />
selected by the Judges of each areas as follows:<br />
a. Three Judges representing the West Region (Rancho Cucamonga and Chino Districts)<br />
selected by the judges of that region.<br />
b. Three Judges representing the Central Region (<strong>San</strong> <strong>Bernardino</strong> and Fontana Districts,<br />
at least one of whom must be assigned to the Fontana District) selected by the judges of<br />
that region.<br />
c. Presiding Judge of the Juvenile <strong>Court</strong>.<br />
d. Three Judges representing the Desert Region (Victorville, Barstow, Joshua Tree,<br />
Needles and Big Bear Districts) selected by the judges of that region.<br />
e. Three Judges elected as follows:<br />
• One Judge with less than seven years of judicial service, elected by all judges with<br />
same years of service as of December 31 of each year.<br />
• One Judge with at least seven but less than fourteen years of judicial service<br />
elected by all judges with same years of service as of December 31 of each year.<br />
• One Judge with fourteen or more years of judicial service elected by all judges<br />
with same years of service as of December 31 of each year.<br />
No region (West, Central or Desert) may have more than one Judge elected<br />
from that region based on judicial service.<br />
f. One Commissioner representative selected by all Commissioners. The Commissioner<br />
selected shall not have any voting rights on the Executive Committee.<br />

126BRULE 231 DUTIES<br />
Rule 231.1<br />
The Executive Committee shall advise and assist the Presiding Judge on all matters<br />
related to <strong>Court</strong> administration. (Eff. January 1, 2000.)<br />
