1BRule 231.2<br />

With the assistance of the Executive Officer, the Executive Committee shall adopt an<br />

annual budget for submission to the Administrative Office of the <strong>Court</strong>s. (Eff. January 1, 2000,<br />

74BRule 231.3<br />

The Executive Committee shall review and approve the organizational structure for the<br />

administration of the <strong>Court</strong> system under the <strong>Court</strong> Executive Officer. (Eff. January 1, 2000.)<br />

127BRule 231.4<br />

The Executive Committee shall review and recommend major personnel and<br />

administrative policies. Adoption of these policies shall be subject to the approval of a majority<br />

of all the Judges per Rule 234. (Eff. January 1, 2000. As amended, eff. January 1, 2004.)<br />

128BRule 231.5<br />

The Executive Committee shall serve as the "Sheriff’s <strong>Court</strong> Services Committee" (Eff.<br />

January 1, 2000. As amended eff. July 1, 2000.)<br />

129BRule 231.6<br />

The Presiding Judge shall appoint from among all the Judges such committees, as he or<br />

she deems appropriate for the conduct of <strong>Court</strong> business. The committees will be responsible for<br />

the oversight of <strong>Court</strong> functions and the development and analysis of <strong>Court</strong> policy initiatives as<br />

directed by the Presiding Judge. Specific areas in which such committees may be expected to<br />

operate include Personnel, Budgeting, Facilities, Automation, Civil, Criminal, Juvenile, Family<br />

Law, Rules, and Commissioner Oversight. (Eff. July 1, 1998.)<br />

130BRULE 232 TERM OF OFFICE<br />

Members of the Executive Committee shall be elected for two-year terms. Six at-large<br />

positions and three positions based on seniority shall be filled by election in even-numbered<br />

years. Seven at-large positions shall be filled by election in odd-numbered years.<br />

Any member of the Executive Committee reassigned outside the region from which the<br />

member was elected will cause that position to become vacant. The judges of the region or court<br />

to which the member was previously elected, shall select another judge to serve the remainder of<br />

that term of office.<br />

Nothing in this rule will limit the same person from being re-elected to numerous terms.<br />

January 1, 2010. As amended, eff. July 1, 2011.)<br />

131BRULE 233 QUORUM<br />

A quorum shall consist of a majority of the Executive Committee members. No action<br />

may be effective unless a quorum is present. (Eff. January 1, 2000. Amended, eff. July 1, 2000.<br />

As amended, eff. January 1, 2004.)<br />
