Filipino Alumni Come Together<br />
In honor of Filipino American History Month, the <strong>Seattle</strong> <strong>University</strong> Filipino Alumni Chapter held its second annual fall<br />
reunion in October. The event included a special alumni Mass at the chapel at Campion Hall, followed by a reunion in<br />
Casey Commons. More than 50 chapter members were in attendance.<br />
Bruce Walker, ‘66, is the 2008<br />
recipient of the Manuel T. Pacheco<br />
Academic Leadership Award. Currently,<br />
Walker is the Landsford Professor of<br />
Leadership and dean of the Robert<br />
J. Trulaske, Sr. College of Business at<br />
the <strong>University</strong> of Missouri-Columbia.<br />
During his tenure as dean, the college<br />
developed an alumni engagement plan<br />
and raised more than $100 million<br />
in private support. Walker serves on<br />
the board of directors of the Boone<br />
County National Bank and the Missouri<br />
Innovation Center, and is an active<br />
participant in the Heart of Missouri<br />
United Way.<br />
Donald Warner, ‘03, and<br />
Charlotte Sim, ‘05, were<br />
married Oct. 11, 2008, on<br />
the windward side of Oahu,<br />
Hawaii, surrounded by family<br />
and friends. The couple<br />
married on Charlotte's family<br />
estate with an oceanfront<br />
ceremony just before<br />
sunset. Several alumni were<br />
part of the wedding party,<br />
including Nicholas Thurber,<br />
‘03, David Scarsella, ‘03,<br />
Megan Cromley, ‘04, Kim<br />
Scott, ‘04, and Darren<br />
Ebisu, ‘05.<br />
The couple honeymooned on the island of Kauai, Hawaii,<br />
and currently reside in the Washington, D.C., area.<br />
