CARRIAGE BOARD: “GOLDEN ARROW” in cast aluminium, 79” x 7” fully flanged. Hand painted<br />

in brown with the words “Golden Arrow” in cream with black shading and a large three-flight<br />

arrow in gold and cream. These were introduced from 1949 for the famous train - replacing<br />

earlier post-war painted inscriptions on each vehicle. Originally made of wood and<br />

subsequently metal. They slotted into clips on the car sides and were secured by wing clips.<br />

Two versions were used: one designated 'Fleche d'or'; the other 'Golden Arrow.' They<br />

remained in use until about 1969. Good ex-vehicle condition.<br />

PULLMAN CARS SILVERPLATE 1 PINT COFFEE POT manufactured by Mappin & Webb. 3¼”<br />

diameter base, 7¼” tall plus handle and spout. The Pullman coat of arms with the wording<br />

“Pullman Car Company Limited” in garter around them are clearly incised on the side. Good<br />

condition<br />
