STARTING & DRIVING — Starting & Stopping<br />

• Crank the engine. If the engine starts, car may be driven to nearest<br />

authorised service outlet, even though 'Check Engine' lamp is<br />

indicating a malfunction.<br />

• In the above condition engine may stall if the accelerator pedal is<br />

released back to idle position.<br />

• If engine stalls, repeat the above procedure from beginning & drive<br />

the car without releasing the accelerator pedal to 'Idle' position.<br />

Stopping the Engine :<br />

• Let the car come to a stop and engine to idle.<br />

• Turn the key to 'OFF' position.<br />

Parking :<br />

• Park the car in a safe place. Switch on the indicator signal before turning<br />

to park.<br />

• Apply the parking brake.<br />

• Ensure that all window glasses are closed & all lamps are turned 'OFF'.<br />

• At night, put on the parking lights if required.<br />

• Remove the key from the ignition switch.<br />

• Place wheel chocks at the wheels if parked on a slope.<br />

WARNING<br />

Do not leave the key inside the car.<br />

Do not leave children unattended in the car.<br />

Avoid parking the car over inflammable materials, such as dry leaves,<br />

grass etc., as the exhaust system is hot enough to initiate 'FIRE'.<br />
