TENDER CALL NOTICE FOR ENGAGEMENT OF HIRE VEHICLES IN
DIFFERENT UNITS UNDER CHROME REGION.
Sealed Tender in prescribed format are invited from the intending Vehicle
Owners/Registered Travel Agencies for engagement of Boleros / Buses as indicated in
the Tender Schedule in different Units under Chrome Region , J K Road for the year
2011-12. The details of Tender shall be available in the OMC Website
www.orissamining.com or in the Material Section , Regional Office, J K Road on
any working day. The last date of receipt of the Tender is on 28.3.2011 by 3.30 p.m.
and shall be opened on the same day at 4.00 p.m. in presence of the bidders or their
Auth. Representatives.
The OMC Management reserves the right to accept or reject any or all the
tenders or distribute amongst eligible bidders without assigning any reason thereof.

TENDER SCHEDULE.
Sealed Tenders in two parts i.e. Techno Commercial Bid and Price Bid
are invited from the Vehicle owners / Registered Travel Agencies having A/C., Non-
A/C Bolero, 52 seated, 32 seated and 17 seated Buses for engagement on hire basis in
different Mines/Units under J.K. Road Region of OMC Ltd during the year 2011-12
commencing from 1 st April-2011 to 31 st March-2012.The contract may be extended
for a period of another two years on year to year renewal basis, basing on the
performance & mutual consent under the same rate, terms & conditions. The details of
the vehicles are given below. The schedule date of submission of tender is on
28.3.2011 by 3.30 p.m. and will be opened on the same day at 4.00 p.m. in presence
of the tenderers or their Auth. Representatives.

Eligibility:-
1. The Light vehicles/Buses must not be purchased from the Authorized
Dealer/Distributor/Manufacturer before 1 st April, 2010 . In the event of
non-availability of the required vehicles purchased on or after 1 st April-
2010 , management may consider to engage the vehicles, purchased on or
after 1 st April-2009.
The vehicles should be registered as Commercial vehicle.
2. The agency/ Vehicle owner has to give an undertaking that the vehicle
does not belong to the employee of OMC or his/her relatives. In case, at
point of time, the declaration given by the Agency / Vehicle owner found
to be incorrect, the contract shall be cancelled and EMD will be forfeited.

3. (a.) All repair and maintenance (Minor & Major) of the vehicle shall
be borne by the agency / Vehicle owner.
(b.) All statutory and other liabilities shall be the sole responsibility of
the Vehicle owner/ Agency.
4. OMC Ltd. will supply HSD @ 10 KM per litre for A/C. Bolero, @ 12 KM
per litre for Non-A/C Vehicles & @ 4 KM per litre for 52-seated Bus,
6KM per litre for 32 seated Bus and @ 8 KM per Lit. For 17 seated Bus.
5. Rate should be quoted on Monthly Basis.
6. Payment will be made on monthly basis after submission of bills in
duplicate duly certified by the concerned Officer-in-charge of respective
Mines/ Units, after necessary deduction of Income Tax or any other Tax, if
applicable. The Agencies/ owners are required to submit the Xerox copy of
Service Tax Challans, deposited for the vehicle along with the bill in order
to release payment.
7. The Agency / Vehicle owner should provide experienced drivers having
valid driving license with the light vehicles and driver having valid D.L &
First-Aid badges and helper for Bus.

8. While quoting the rate, impact of Tax liabilities imposed by Central/
State/Local bodies if any shall be indicated separately.
9. In case of any accident and/or illegal use of the vehicle during the contract
/ agreement period, the Agency / Vehicle owner shall be responsible for all
such lapses and liable to pay the compensation etc.
10. In case of idle or brake-down of the hired vehicle engaged due to the
reason indicated in Clause-9 above, the Agency / Vehicle owner has to
provide a substitute vehicle of similar type failing which penalty shall be
imposed @ double the contract rate calculated on daily basis.
11. The eligible Agency / Vehicle owner should produce all the original
documents for verification before engagement of vehicle.
12. The vehicle should be provided with First-Aid Box.
13. One off- Day shall be provided in a week for repair & maintenance of the
vehicle.

14. EMD of Rs.20, 000.00 per vehicle in shape of D.D. drawn in favour of
Orissa Mining Corporation Ltd. payable at JK Road has to be deposited by
the Agency/ Vehicle owner. The said EMD/Security deposit will be
forfeited in case of discontinuity of the contract.
15. The Agency / Vehicle owner has to submit the copy of the Registration of
Service tax along with the Techno-commercial bid. The service tax if
reimbursed by the corporation shall have to be deposited with the Tax
Authorities by the Agency / Vehicle owner at his own risk and OMC shall
not be liable for such lapse if any.
Two sealed envelops, one for “Techno-Commercial Bid” & another
for “Price Bid” should be submitted in a single sealed envelope. The
Techno-commercial Bid shall be submitted as per Annexure ‘A’ and
Price –bid shall be submitted as per Annexure ‘B’.
16. The period of contract shall be valid till 31/03/2012. However, it may be
extended for a further period of another two years on year to year renewal
basis, based on performance and on mutual consent under the same rate,
terms & conditions.
The authority reserves the right to accept or reject any or all the
tenders or distribute amongst the eligible bidders without assigning
any reason thereof.

CORRINGENDUM TO NIT FOR ENGAGMENT OF HIRE VEHICLES IN DIFFERENT UNITS
UNDER CHROME REGION
In continuation to this Tender Call Notice published in daily “SAMBAD”
dtd. 8.3.09, the eligibility criteria in item No.1 may please be read as “ In the
event of non-availability of the required vehicles purchased on or after 1 st
April-2010, Management may consider to engage the vehicles purchased on
or after 1 st April-2008 instead of 1 st April-2009”. The requirement of Non-A.C.
Bolero for COB Plant may please be read as Three instead of Two.
