Tell us about Shop Frank?<br />
Shop Frank is an online store that stocks<br />
products that advocate our belief in<br />
unique, handcrafted goods that are made<br />
in a socially and ecologically responsible<br />
manner. We hope to support the artisans<br />
and their organizations through the<br />
promotion of their products in our store<br />
and share the stories of the hands by<br />
which they are made.<br />
Tell us about yourself and your<br />
background?<br />
I live in Sydney with my husband Andrew<br />
and our two children Akira and Miya. I am<br />
an Interior designer by trade and I have<br />
a love affair with textiles. This probably<br />
influenced me to undertake a Masters<br />
in textile design following my degree in<br />
Interior Architecture at the University of<br />
New South Wales.<br />
What sparked you to create your<br />
business?<br />
We lived in London for a few years and<br />
within that time travelled extensively<br />
throughout Europe and North Africa.<br />
Somewhere along our travels the desire to<br />
create a store that housed products that<br />
not only had a strong design element but<br />
were also consciously made was formed.<br />
It’s been fun and very exciting to see Shop<br />
Frank come to life.<br />
Tell us about your products and how<br />
you choose them for your store? Who<br />
are the designers?<br />
When sourcing, we look for simplicity,<br />
quality and durability and craftsmanship.<br />
This involves seeking out suppliers and<br />
designers who share a similar ethos to<br />
ourselves. Aesthetically it is important that<br />
everything works well together so that our<br />
