The Alloptic GEPON solution, Gigabit Ethernet over PON, provides a voice, video and data solution for commercial and residential
deployments requiring TDM or VOIP, RF or IP Video and 100Meg+ per port data.
GEPON is specifically designed for access solutions and the integration of Ethernet as the interface technology ensures that GEPON
delivers a cost effective solution for 'true Triple Play'. In the GCC, with the new build environment and the demand for voice, video
and data plus applications such as video on demand, integrated security, GEPON provides a complete integrated solution reducing
cable and coax costs as well as reducing maintenance and service costs.

The Alloptic GEPON solution is Ethernet thus IEEE compliant as all our interfaces are SNMP. The GEPON is a layer 2 transport,
where we send
all the traffic via Ethernet packet, ideal for an IP driven solution.
For both TDM voice and RF we pass this as 'native' over the PON and
terminate at the ONT,
AllOptic is a standard PON architecture but primarily an
Access solution rather than an ATM, transmission product, looking at
point to multi point distribution deployment via fiber, copper, coax
etc.
