Oh, No!
Karan K. Katira
Akshat Virender Malviya
Subhash was living with his family in
Kolhapur village. They were happy on all
accounts. They possessed seven acres of
land with a farm full of mango trees.
Subhash’s father was owner of that land
but due to old age and accompanying
diseases he had died last month. Before
his death, he had given his son the
responsibility of taking care of the farm
and the mango trees which were planted
on his son’s birthday by him. But Subhash
was careless and greedy.
Once a villager came to him and said,
“I will give you the money you want, just
give me two rows of your mango trees
as I am in dire need of mango woods."
The greedy Subhash thought these trees
were of no use as they didn’t bear fruits.
But he did not care about the fact that
they were too young to bear fruits. He
agreed to sell two rows of trees.
In this way, one by one all trees were
cut and only the land used to grow
seasonal vegetables was left. One day an
executive of a chemical industry met
him and asked him to sell them the
whole seven acres of remaining land as
they wanted to set up a new plant there.
