Adult Education Maths Class
Since the Academy opened, Skills & Learning have offered a free
Maths course on a Tuesday morning from 9.30 am – 12.30 pm for
adults.
Students learn in small friendly groups at their own pace and have
an individual learning plan. So far students have achieved a
range of entry, level 1 and level 2 qualifications.

Skills & Learning has been successfully using the facilities at St Aldhelm’s Academy for many
years.
We also work in partnership with the school and the Children’s Centre to provide small discrete
groups with parents and their pre-school children.
This year alone we have been able to offer our learners a broad range of courses, subjects to
improve job prospects such as Basic skills Maths, English and English for Speakers of Other
Languages; GCSE Maths and Science, ICT for Job Searching and ECDL (European Computer
Driving Licence) and courses for pleasure - such as cooking, creative writing, art and sewing.
We still have spaces in courses at St Aldhelm’s Academy starting after Easter:
Make Up for all Occasions
Basic DIY for Women
Learn to Sew – Stunning Summer Dresses
ICT for Job Searching
Keep up your sewing Machine Skills
