1 General Information<br />
1.1 Introduction<br />
Attention:<br />
This aircraft shall be operated as towing aircraft<br />
only with a valid license including a glider towing<br />
rating.<br />
This supplement is to be used in addition to the REMOS GX <strong>Pilot</strong><br />
<strong>Operating</strong> <strong>Handbook</strong> only!<br />
1.2 Certification<br />
The REMOS GX complies to the rules of the Light Sport Aircraft<br />
airworthiness standards and does not conform to standard category<br />
airworthiness requirements.<br />
1.3 Quick Reference<br />
For the use as a glider towing aircraft, the REMOS GX is equipped<br />
with the Tost E85 tow release clut<strong>ch</strong>, connected to the fuselage tail<br />
by a specially developed mounting frame. To release the tow rope a<br />
release lever is located on the left hand side of the pilot seat (colored<br />
yellow). Additionally, a back view mirror has to be installed inside the<br />
aircraft, overhead the pilot seat.<br />
Glider towing operation is only permissible with a 100 hp Rotax 912<br />
UL/S engine installed.<br />
