The development of wage and logistics costs are only one aspect of internationalisation
– the focus of this trend is on the development of new markets.
Many companies experience problems on this road. Others are very successful. Adaptation
and evolution are the two key demands of corporate organisations in this context.
On location in the most dynamic economic zone in the world, we will visit German and
international companies who are successful both in production and in marketing. We
want to find out the success factors that determine the viable long-term positioning of
western companies in China. Beside the factory tours there is a focus on knowledge
exchange with executives of the host companies and experienced lean experts.

Shenyang (Mandschu Name “Mukden”) is the capital of the Liaoning
province. It is the biggest city of the ‘Dongbei’ region, China’s
northwestern 3 provinces Jilin, Heilongjiang, Liaoning. Shenyang is
the largest industrial centre in China’s Northeast and hosts mainly
Car industry, Aerospace, Machine Tools and Heavy Industry. The city
has about 8 Mil inhabitants, with 23 Mil residents within a 50 km
radius. The local European Chamber has 38 members, the biggest
European companies are BMW-Brilliance and Michelin.

up to 2 weeks before the tour commences and 100% if later. The
organiser reserves the right to reorganise the entire event or individual parts
thereof, with regard to location or time, or to cancel completely. Staufen also
reserve the right to reject participants for reasons of competition.
