History
The St John Association of Zimbabwe dates back from 1920
when two members of the National Railways of Rhodesia staff
began to teach First Aid from St John Ambulance manuals.
The first St. John Centre was established in 1925 in Bulawayo
to meet the needs of railway staff through such training. Units
of St John were set up in Bulawayo and Hwange during 1936
followed in time by the establishment of the same in Harare,
Gweru and Mutare. The National St. John Council was established
in 1981 after independence.
Training
St John Ambulance Association offers quality courses with
help of qualified trainers. We strive to provide the best training
experience in the most comfortable environment for our
participants. We also have a Schools Programme, were teachers
are taught First Aid and relay the skills to their pupils.
Our courses start from 8am—4pm weekly. We also offer weekend
classes.
Our training Centres are in Harare, Bulawayo and Mutare.

Home Based Care (Nurse Aide)
Ambulance Technician
Trainer of Trainer (ToT)

St John has a unique Ambulance Service which operates 24hrs
7 days a week.

Procedures
Event coverage
Payments accepted using either using cash or Medical Aid.
The Medical Aid that we accept includes: PSMAS, CIMAS,
Zimpapers, Railmed, Northern, Anglo, GAMAS, Fidelity, MTC,
CellMed, Ultra Card, TN, EMF, MASCA, Generation Health,
and First Mutual.
